scenarios ACTION

① Skrull Invasion → You're on planet Earth and the Skrull are coming! Are you ready to fight? Perhaps the better question is...are you really sure your friends are who you think they are?
② Sparring → There's few better ways to see what you're made of than to face off against your fellow heroes! Enter the sparring ring and give it all you've got. Or perhaps you wind up facing an old friend in the Grandmaster's Contest of Champions!
③ Chitauri Assault → Time to take down hordes and hordes of alien goons! Maybe they brought their space whales, too. They're bringing the party to you!
④ In Pursuit → Your enemies are fleeing and it's up to you to pursue them and bring them to justice!
⑤ Heist → Time to steal that invaluable vibranium shipment before the bad guys do. You'll need all your best covert stealth skills to pull this one off.

[ he might have only been stuck in this alternate Earth for a few weeks but he was learning that New York really didn’t change. The only difference he could discern was that there wasn’t a super villain attack every other week, which was giving this universe more points in Billy’s opinion. Also no Doom.

Since the city seemed to be the same he had taken it upon himself to show Wanda the sites, the reasons he loved New York so much, and maybe a few cheesy touristy things along the way. Which is how they ended up on a circle line tour with green Statue of Liberty foam crowns on their heads. ]

[ Okay, so everything is fine back on Earth, and Peter (Parker) is taking Peter (Quill) on tour of New York City since he's a podunk country boy who has never been to the Big Apple. Sure, he's been all around space, but what's the whole galaxy next to The Statue of Liberty?

Currently, they're in the elevator to the top of the Empire State Building. It's a long ways up. Also, the elevator operator is Stan Lee, just because. ]

[Him and the Hulk still aren't really on the best of terms, and since leaving space, and going toe to toe with Thanos it's only gotten worse. Arguments and hours of research have left him with a splitting headache and nothing else to show for it.

Nuclear physics hasn't done much in the ways of reverting all that was lost. He and the rest of his ragtag band of misfits are still licking their wounds. Tony has been unresponsive.

The same four walls haven't done Bruce any good, so at about 1:45 in the morning he stops by the diner down the street for a bad cup of coffee and a change of environment to see if it might help.]

[This is so not how he wanted the day to go, he's got an AP Trig final first thing and the backed up line through the drive-through is going to ruin breakfast and his GPA.

The one day he decides not to web-sling to school and to just carpool with friends. This is what happens. They're in the city, why are this many cars even here? Sure, he could go inside and set the precedence of a dignified New Yorker but the cab at the front of the line is clearly the problem. Like a Twinkie with no filling. Traffic is backing out onto the street, causing vehicular and foot traffic alike.]

Drugged children, walked down the hallways, forced into combat training and injected with needles full of who knows what. Cells with tiny windows in the doors, revealing the world's dirty secrets: mutants, mutant children being manufactured as weapons.

"Despite everything, they've labeled their work with the children a failure; they're planning on scrapping their project, and soon — they will making these children vanish, like they have other nurses, other women they've taken from the streets. Hey, Mr. Stark, how do you talk to girls?

[Spoken rather suddenly to begin a conversation to be sure — but here they are, standing in the Avengers tower at a stupidly late hour of night, and... wait, no, Peter isn't standing, he's hanging over the kitchen's island, still in his Spider-Man costume sans his mask. And judging from the split lip and slightly frazzled nature of his hair, he'd done some crimefighting at some point before slipping back inside.

So one has to wonder where this came from.

Spoilers: he's been thinking about it all day.]

[Daken hadn't told her who he was and, with his pheromones, he had no scent to help her with an educated guess. Part of him hoped she'd simply be able to tell, that she would recognize him as Logan's son. Part of him hoped she wouldn't even believe it after he revealed it to her. Family was such a strange concept and a very complicated one.

All his note had told her was that this was about Logan. He thought it might be enough to pique her curiosity. Maybe she'd come in claws bared trying to kill him... maybe not.

He was dressed fashionably, as always. Impeccably put together and groomed and completely out of place in the nearly empty Denny's dining area perusing the menu.]

The world was on fire. It had been torn apart, precisely in half, but the holes left behind were more than that. Cars with no drivers slammed into other cars, killing all who were inside. She'd been needed home, in New York, with Pepper. Tony still hadn't come back. They didn't know if he ever would. There were talks of planning without him, people who - of course - wanted to go after Thanos again... but first Marion thought they should at least patch up what was left. There were riots, there were people hurting, there were people who were still alive who she needed to protect. If there was a clear path forward, she'd take it, but if not... there were the people who were still alive who she needed to protect.

Pepper was on the top of that list, so Marion had done what she'd sworn she'd never do and moved back home. She was currently outside, sitting on the railing, too awake to sleep and too tired to move... until she heard it. She knew the sound of just about every engine on Earth and that was not an earth engine coming toward them.

Great, what now? Wearily, she got to her feet and instructed the home to go into lockdown mode as she jumped off the roof to land on the ground and greet what was coming.]

[ Half of New York is destroyed. Makes sense, when half the people Jane knew just abruptly disappeared into dust, literally before her eyes. People she knew, friends and colleagues and strangers.

She tried to reach out to Pepper after it happened, only didn't have direct contact info and this Pepper Potts didn't recognize a "Jane Foster" except for her SHIELD clearance and that meant little with what was ... going on. Understandably.

Instead she ... waited. She didn't know how to find anyone else.

Please. My name is Jane. When Tony comes back, please-- please just-- Jane Foster. He'll know my name, just -- tell him. Please.

And so she waited.

Feeling like she could bubble over with terror and rage that once again she was left waiting for someone who could touch the stars.
