scenarios ACTION

① Skrull Invasion → You're on planet Earth and the Skrull are coming! Are you ready to fight? Perhaps the better question is...are you really sure your friends are who you think they are?
② Sparring → There's few better ways to see what you're made of than to face off against your fellow heroes! Enter the sparring ring and give it all you've got. Or perhaps you wind up facing an old friend in the Grandmaster's Contest of Champions!
③ Chitauri Assault → Time to take down hordes and hordes of alien goons! Maybe they brought their space whales, too. They're bringing the party to you!
④ In Pursuit → Your enemies are fleeing and it's up to you to pursue them and bring them to justice!
⑤ Heist → Time to steal that invaluable vibranium shipment before the bad guys do. You'll need all your best covert stealth skills to pull this one off.
⑥ Training → Power up the Danger Room and throw yourself and a partner into a training scenario of your choice! Just try to be careful in there. It is called the Danger Room, after all!
⑦ Mind Control → Against their will, one of your comrades has begun to attack you! Will you fight back and possibly harm someone you hold dear? Or will you stand down and open yourself up to danger?
⑧ Escape → You've been captured by your enemies! Or perhaps The Collector just added you to his museum. Time to find a way out!

ANGST

① Fallout → Heroism exacts a price, and it is often personal in nature. How do you cope with the fallout of your latest conflict? Was victory worth the price you paid? Or worse, did you lose?
② Injury/Illness → Even for the strongest of heroes, the battlefield can be tough. How's that broken arm healing up? That serious road rash? Or are you the one providing healing and comfort to one in need?
③ Last Moments → Somehow has gone terribly wrong and you are dying. What will you say? What will you do? Or perhaps you are the one holding your comrade in their final moments.
④ Betrayed → One of your teammates has betrayed you. How will you respond? Will you reach out and try to forgive, or will you fight the one you used to call an ally?
⑤ Fight → Sometimes, even your closest friends can become your enemies. Disagreements can lead to verbal, and perhaps even physical altercations. Or perhaps you're seeking reconciliation afterwards?

[A good-old fashioned meet and greet is a perfect way to have fun, isn't it?!

As the next match-up, a giant green man approaches the table where Jane already is waiting. He affixes a look at her and shouts out his name.]

Hulk!!

[It speaks for itself, doesn't it?

He might as well take a seat! So he lumbers over and sits down... only to accidentally destroy the chair and let out a loud, irritating growl.]

Puny chair!

[ Yes. Yes it is. Especially when it apparently involves superheroes, and also superheroes who are the Avengers?

Jane just kind of watches him with frozen alarm, blinking and gently leaning back as he sits down and inevitably destroys that chair.

After a moment she'll lean forward. ]

.... youuu okay down there?

No!! [Hulk barks in response, shooting a look right at her, before he looks back down at the chair.]

Chair is too puny!! Hulk hates it! [With that, he petulantly kicks the fallen chair's remains across the room.]

After the battlefield cleared, Loki - badly injured, but not as much so as he'd feined - found a pod that was in well enough working order that it might limp to Earth. No doubt, wherever his brother had ended up, he would head there to intercept the Mad Titan.

There was only one human he could think of who probably wouldn't kill him on sight. She'd dumped his brother, sure, but Loki had saved her life.

Jane Foster. He got as close as he could to the laboratory where she worked before the pod sputtered and died for good. The sun was low in the sky as he stumbled towards the squat, grey brick building.

[ You see, when one of the people involved in the attack on New York a few years ago approaches your building, most people run! And most of her colleagues do. Which is understandable, she supposes.

But for whatever it's worth she knows this person, and as half the people in the office turned to ash a short while ago--

She ends up running out of the building towards him.

He's a trickster. She knows that. He's Loki. He's supposed to have died. Thor would express frustration with him -- you know, if and when they ever spoke. But right now...

Right now the sight of him alive brings her more relief than she can even process, and without thinking she'll throw her arms around him when she reaches him, the action only half meant to hold him up. ]

Loki! What-- why-- what--

[ She has so many questions, so much fear, and no ability to express it all at once. ]

Loki let her take some of his weight, but not too much. It was true that Thor was both taller and bulkier than Loki, but Loki was by no means a small man.

"Has he been here?" he gasped. "Large purple man who wants to wipe us all out?

So in the latest series of the world almost ending, again, Darcy was for once not in the midst of it. She had been taking a well deserved vacation when the giant space donut had shown up and starting causing issues. She had chilled in her hotel room watching it all go down on tv.

That next day however was when people started disappearing. Like crumbling into dust...like the maid who had been cleaning her room that morning. Standing there toothbrush in mouth she watched as the older woman went poof! Huh, well...that sucks. It was hard catching a plane back home but she did and was frantically running into the labs to see if her bestie/boss was still alive.

Finding the willowy brunette huddled over some paperwork Darce made a bee-line for her. "Janey!" she cried out before wrapping the smaller woman in a tight hug. "I'm so glad you're not all dust in the wind."

"Dar--"

She doesn't get the name all the way out before Darcy slams into her, but thankfully instinct kicks in and she hugs her intern/best friend just as tightly. A bit misty she says, "That-- that is not funny, oh my god, don't joke about--"

She adjusts her grip, hugs Darcy tighter.

"Thank god you're alive. Where-- I'm sorry I didn't contact you, things at SHIELD have been crazy since-- you know, but--"

Talking a million miles an hour already.

It was so good to have the smaller woman in her arms again and Darcy was hugging the ever loving shit out of her right now.

"Sorry, you know I deal with fucked up situations with humor." Pulling back some but with her arms still around the other woman Darcy looked up at her with tear filled eyes, her bottom lip was even quivering a little.

"I was so scared, Jane. Watching it all go down on tv, I even watched my maid at the hotel disappear. POOF! And she was gone. Well, really more like a crumble..."

Looking around the lab her expression turned from sadness to confusion. "W-where's Erik?"

[LOCATION: Avengers Tower
TIME: 5:00 PM
MISSION: homework

And boy, that mission is currently failing hardcore. It's not necessarily hard work — Peter's always had a knack for doing well in class and figuring things out — when when it's homework after a long day of heroism... well. It means Jane probably is visiting to the sight of a teenaged boy passed out on his science project taking up half the table, snoring lightly, not even out of his spider suit. These are your boyfriend's co-workers, Jane. Tony Stank, a patriotic senior citizen, maybe a raccoon once and a while — and a nerdy teenager who takes naps on kitchen stools, looking like he's on the verge of slipping off the seat.

It's not his proudest moment.]

[ Ah.

Yeah, that happens.

Jane has places to be, people to meet, but she can't help but pause over this passed out teenage boy, wearing what is undoubtedly a suit for superheroism (stark's design? maybe, looks like it) and drooling on his science homework.

There's a quiet voice in the pit of her gut that murmurs it isn't right for a young boy like him to be out there having to do whatever awful things it is he has to do, but the rest of her knows they've had less and less choice. It's almost funny now, to think about SHIELD trying so desperately to cover up the slow but inevitable shift towards a superpowered world.

Sighing to herself, Jane will move over to him gently shake his shoulder. ]

Something tells me your teacher isn't going to accept a drool smudge as an answer to question 6b.

[ With a bit of a scrunched nose. ]

[Abuh! He jolts a little, sitting upright with bleary eyes and a post-it note stuck to one cheek.]

Am I late?!

Oh, this is embarrassing.]

[.... He peels off the sticky note, turning a shade redder.]
