scenarios ACTION

① Skrull Invasion → You're on planet Earth and the Skrull are coming! Are you ready to fight? Perhaps the better question is...are you really sure your friends are who you think they are?
② Sparring → There's few better ways to see what you're made of than to face off against your fellow heroes! Enter the sparring ring and give it all you've got. Or perhaps you wind up facing an old friend in the Grandmaster's Contest of Champions!
③ Chitauri Assault → Time to take down hordes and hordes of alien goons! Maybe they brought their space whales, too. They're bringing the party to you!
④ In Pursuit → Your enemies are fleeing and it's up to you to pursue them and bring them to justice!
⑤ Heist → Time to steal that invaluable vibranium shipment before the bad guys do. You'll need all your best covert stealth skills to pull this one off.
⑥ Training → Power up the Danger Room and throw yourself and a partner into a training scenario of your choice! Just try to be careful in there. It is called the Danger Room, after all!
⑦ Mind Control → Against their will, one of your comrades has begun to attack you! Will you fight back and possibly harm someone you hold dear? Or will you stand down and open yourself up to danger?

ANGST

① Fallout → Heroism exacts a price, and it is often personal in nature. How do you cope with the fallout of your latest conflict? Was victory worth the price you paid? Or worse, did you lose?
② Injury/Illness → Even for the strongest of heroes, the battlefield can be tough. How's that broken arm healing up? That serious road rash? Or are you the one providing healing and comfort to one in need?
③ Last Moments → Somehow has gone terribly wrong and you are dying. What will you say? What will you do? Or perhaps you are the one holding your comrade in their final moments.
④ Betrayed → One of your teammates has betrayed you. How will you respond? Will you reach out and try to forgive, or will you fight the one you used to call an ally?

[Coming back from all that wasn't easy by any means, and anyone who says they're all totally cool upon springing back from sudden death is a total liar. Or - Or maybe Peter's just sensitive, he's not sure. Whatever. In better news, the Guardians of the Galaxy have so helpfully guarded Earth, so now it's a place to hang out if the time is right and the galaxy isn't needing them elsewhere. With Thanos gone at last, there's a collective breath, and it almost feels like nobody wants to be a villain after that shitshow.

It won't last, obviously, but it's nice. It's nice to try and cope and hang out and at the very least get something good out of a really awful situation. Like, sure, they got rained on by a heck of a cloud, but the sunshine after, yeah? That was a crappy metaphor. Shh. Point is, when the guardians visit the Avengers home base, Peter is crawling on the walls all too literally to say hi. They'd fought together against the worst of it, so... he feels kind of closer to them than the others.

Also, Mantis is like, totally cool, and she's awkward, and he's awkward, so they're the best of buddies now. Or so Peter has decided as he dips down from the ceiling on a long spider web in front of Mantis, looking pleased as pie.]

[ disintegrating does do a number on someone, but Mantis is trying her best to not only come to terms with everything herself, but to help others understand their feelings on the whole situation and find some sort of comfort. being an empath has its perks in that sense, and what she lacks in physical prowess she makes up for in emotional strength.

though she had assumed she was alone in the base's den, she's very happy to see that she isn't. she enjoys company, and the young Spider Boy is great at providing it. there were plenty of bug jokes made about the two of them as they were gearing up for the final battle, but Mantis personally finds them endearing. when he calls out to her, she's in the middle of hugging a very fluffy pillow that was sitting on the couch. ]

Other Peter! Hello! [ she gives him her best practiced smile along with an enthusiastic wave as he drops down. ] Our ship just landed last night. Tony Stark told us to "make ourselves comfortable", so I am doing just as he suggested.

[ there are plenty of other things to explore in this base, but she's also anxious to go outside and visit the city... though with the way she looks, maybe that isn't the best idea. ]

[He is more than happy to wave a hand dramatically back.]

I'm glad! Mr. Stark's been in a much better mood lately.

[Maybe it has to do with Peter and half the population being brought back, and him and Captain reconciling, and Pepper and him getting married. Maybe. He drops down all the way, landing gracefully on his feet so he can ungracefully flop down on the edge of the couch. He's still got his backpack on since school only just got out — and he grabs the straps to fidget as he talks.]

[It's only been a few months, and after having to rescue not only everyone but Rocket and then — then having to get back Gamora, it's been... rough, he's pretty sure. Peter was in a bad way on Titan, when he learned what happeend to Gamora, so he hopes he's also in much higher spirits now that things have been set right.]
