[ He's waited so long for this, longer than he maybe dared to admit to himself, because from the first moment she'd challenged him he knew she was something...special. He'd always been the type to crush so easily, to cast his attachments far and wide, but with her...there'd always been this quiet intensity between them, a murmur just beyond his hearing. But now it thrums in his blood, in his racing heart, the heat in his cheeks burning like an inferno as her teeth tow over his lip, stealing a soft sigh from his throat.
He takes a moment to breathe, his lungs crying out in protest for how much he's forgotten to fill them over these few, wonderful moments. Though he pulls back just enough to meet her eyes, he doesn't relinquish any of the space between them. He keeps his arms full of her, the pleasant taste of her dancing against his lips as he gazes questioningly at her.
